You might be in your university or just planning to take the GRE in a year or so – we suggest you warm up good for a rigorous preparation in future.
This plan if for students who have 5 or more months till their GRE.
It is recommended that you build a strong GRE foundation for two reasons
A. Pakistani Students are not accustomed to thinking the way that GRE requires – the sooner you develop the right approach, the better will be your chances of scoring a high score on the actual test.
B. English is not our native tongue and so building a reading habit and a strong vocabulary is crucial – both are heavily tested on the GRE.

1. For Quant (GRE Math section) get this book (ETS Official Guide – Quantitative Reasoning Practice Questions) and solve Quantitative Comparison questions every now and then
The reason that we want you to solve Quantitative Comparison type questions is
A. They make up a good portion of the GRE Quant section – around 38 percent.
B. They test a variety of concepts and hence will enhance your overall approach towards the Quant section.

2. For vocabulary, and overall VerbalĀ you need to build a strong reading ability and the right approach for answering GRE questions.
Read articles of your choice from The New York Times or The New Yorker regularly.
Memorize around 100-150 words a month. For students actively preparing for the GRE, we recommend memorizing 25 words per day, you can use the same technique that they do, to easily achieve YOUR goal.

Try to understand the reasoning behind each answer choice – i.e. why is one option correct and the other is not?
